Imperial Whitetail "Chic" Magnet Forage Chicory Provides Outstanding Versatility
By Whitetail Institute Staff
Wouldn’t it be great to find a
highly attractive forage product that would attract deer right away, produce
heavy early growth and exhibit superb drought resistance? And what if that
forage product could be planted by itself, mixed with other seeds before
planting or top-dressed into existing forage stands? Sound too good to be true?
It’s not. The Whitetail Institute has such a forage product: Imperial Whitetail
“Chic” Magnet.
Fall Perennial Plantings Yield Big Benefits!
By Jon Cooner
Spring can be an ideal season for planting Whitetail
Institute forages in many parts of North America. But it’s not the only option.
In fact, fall planting can yield benefits you may not have considered. Imperial
forages are designed to be as heat and drought tolerant as possible. Two of our
most drought tolerant perennial blends, Imperial Alfa-Rack Plus and Extreme,
can put down roots as deep as three feet into the soil to find moisture.
BUCK OF A Lifetime IN OKLAHOMA
By Brad Gaddis, Oklahoma
I
received my Whitetail Institute seed around Sept. 1 and planted it around Sept. 15. The food plot was about five acres, and I planted a variety of seed types that included Whitetail Oats Plus, Pure Attraction and Chic Magnet. I was fortunate enough to get some timely rains, and by Oct. 1, the seeds had started to sprout and the deer started to move in. Before long I had two dozen deer using the food plot on a regular basis, including a half dozen bucks.
Chic Magnet is Forage "A-Lister"
By Whitetail Institute Staff
Anyone who has surfed TV channels at night
and stumbled across a celebrity gossip show has probably heard of the “A-List,”
a name by which Hollywood describes a small group of the movie industry’s top
stars. Referred to as “A-Listers,” actors who make the cut are automatically
invited to any Hollywood party, no matter where it’s held or who the host is. And
there’s a reason: A-Listers make the party a whole lot better just by showing
up.
Nothing But the Facts Why the Whitetail Institute is the Industry Leader
Deer nutrition remains one of the fastest-growing segments of the outdoor industry. As such, it continues to attract new players: some informed, others uninformed. To be sure you get your money’s worth, rely on Whitetail Institute products. The Institute doesn’t even have to tell you why. The facts do it for us. Ray Scott, the Institute’s founder and president, explained the philosophy on which the Institute is based.
A Step-By-Step Guide to Food Plots (Part 2)
By Jon Cooner
“Let’s get back to the basics.” No matter whether you’re in business, sports or any other endeavor, you’ve probably heard that suggested from time to time. And the reasons are simple: first, the basics are what we build on as we go farther and learn more no matter what our pursuit, and second, later steps depend on earlier steps having been taken, properly and in order. The same holds true when setting hunting properties up with food plots.
