I’m not a betting man, at least as far as lotteries go. The reason is simple: Lottery odds are ridiculously long, and it makes little sense to risk my hard-earned money in a system that’s set up so I have almost no chance to win. In the same way, antler size is also largely a gamble if left entirely to Mother Nature, because most areas don’t offer enough high nutrition food for bucks to grow the biggest antlers they can. The antler-growth game, though, is one I play, because I can stack the odds in my favor. And the way I do it is with the help of Whitetail Institute mineral and nutritional supplements.

You will not find a bigger proponent for the use of quality mineral/vitamin supplements than the Whitetail Institute. After years of studying, researching and practicing mineral/vitamin supplementation on deer, the Whitetail Institute is a firm believer in the benefits deer hunters and managers can expect.
Whitetail Institute Products Help Produce #1 and #2 Pope & Young Whitetails in Wyoming
By Mike Schmid
I purchased the Solitude Ranch in Fall 2001. This land, in the shadow of Devils Tower, is full of whitetail deer, an animal that I have enjoyed chasing for more than 25 years. I had a lot of reasons for making an investment like this, but one in particular was to try my hand at managing these fascinating critters.
Minerals, Minerals, Minerals...
By Matt Harper
“Look at the mass on that brute. He’s got Coke cans coming out of his head,” my buddy said. My over-excited buddy was looking at some trail camera pictures from a card we had just pulled on a camera set up overlooking a mineral site on my farm.
The Right Nutrition at the Right Time is Critical for Healthy Herds
By Matt Harper
As parents, we have the right (or shamelessness) to live vicariously through our children. For some, we are striving to realize accomplishments unobtainable in our youth and for others, we relive the past glory days through the actions, words and feats of our kids. My girls are now getting to the age where they are beginning to be involved in competitive activities and yes, disgracefully enough, I find myself reliving the very few glory days I had in school.

CUTTING EDGE Helped Kentucky Man's Son Shoot 170-inch Monster
By Charles Niquette
About five years ago, I bought a small farm in central Kentucky to create a place where my son and I could hunt and have a reasonable chance of consistently killing trophy bucks. Of course, the lay of the land and the fact the land is surrounded on three sides by a nature sanctuary helps tremendously.
The Right 40
Many hunters wrongly believe they must own hundreds or thousands of acres of land to successfully manage whitetails, but in truth the right 40 acres or less might be better than the surrounding land combined.
It was Nov. 12, and it was cold; in fact, at 19 degrees it was the coldest morning I could remember while bow-hunting in Kansas during the past decade. Despite the time of year and perfect conditions, the local bucks were not cooperating. For nearly a week, I had been spending every hour of daylight in the woods to no avail, but I had an ace up my sleeve.
Pack on Antler Mass With Mineral/Vitamin Supplements
There’s no question that when it comes to improving the quality of the deer we hunt, high-quality, high-protein food plots are among the most important nutritional tools. If you want to ensure that your deer have all the nutrition they need to maximize health and antler size, though, be sure you don’t overlook mineral/vitamin supplementation.
Ask Big Jon Common Questions - Straightforward Answers
Q:My hunting property in Pennsylvania is very thick. We lease, so we can’t clear timber. The good thing is that since we control our activity, most of the land is sanctuary, so we keep mature bucks on the property.
Antlers and Nutritional Supplements Answers to Your Questions
Here’s the bottom line: If you want the bucks you hunt next fall to have the biggest racks possible, you should make sure they have access to all the minerals and vitamins they need during spring and summer. And nothing does that better than Whitetail Institute nutritional supplements. If you haven’t put yours out yet, the time to do it is now.
